Job Description : About the jobSolution Source is an established leader in the Central Florida residential/commercial construction/development and roofing industry, we are searching for a Financial Controller to serve as a key member of our leadership team. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious self-starter with the right experience, a can-do attitude, and the capabilities to contribute to a growing organization.The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and analytical skills and be responsible for Solution Source’s accounting as well as a variety of financial functions including month-end close, hands-on day-to-day accounting operations (G/L and A/P), accounting research, systems implementations, revenue & cash flow forecasting & budgeting and process improvements. The Financial Controller reports directly to the CEO and is expected to function at a high level of expertise and competency and use sound judgment while producing consistent results. The position will require the ability to supervise accounting staff, while still be involved in the day-to-day details. Problem solving and initiative, with a strong desire to analyze, investigate, and resolve are essential elements for success in this position.Summary of ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting functions including AR, AP, HR, & PayrollEnsure compliance with State & Federal government regulationsPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and perform analysis for areas of improvementPerform account reconciliations and journal entriesWork with external auditorsProduce thorough financial-status reports for ownership to help improve operational efficiencyMaintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue and costsRevenue forecasting, projections and budgetingPosition QualificationsDegree from an accredited university in accounting, business, finance or a related field.10+ years of general accounting and management experience. CPA is preferred.Must be familiar with construction terminology and obligations.Familiarity with Florida lien laws, understanding of AIA invoicing, and documentation.Computer skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks).Proven payroll experience, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes.Organizational, Analytical, Problem Solving, Communications, and People Skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage in a dynamic environment.Dependable and self-motivated.Must pass national background check.Summary of BenefitsExceptional Salary ($40k-$80k, based upon experience/capabilities).Health Insurance (medical, dental, disability, and vision)Paid vacation/holidaysIf you want to join a winning team with opportunities to excel, we encourage you to apply.
