We’re currently seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to support our growing team and scaling business. The primary responsibility of the Senior Accountant will be to assist with month end tasks, revenue recognition, and reconciling balance sheet accounts. The successful Senior Accountant will be highly detail oriented with strong communication, organizational and analytical skills. This role reports directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and works closely with the Staff Accountant and AP Specialist.
Responsibilities
Assist with month end close tasks and roll forwards of the general ledger accounts
Prepare reconciliations and analysis for various accounts (i.e., bank reconciliation, variance analysis, system to system reconciliation)
Own revenue recognition for new and existing revenue streams
Lead various accounting processes and review processes and best practices, with an on-going focus on improvement and iteration.
Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas
Support Accounting team during audit and tax preparations
Ad hoc analysis and projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience; experience working in e-commerce, media, and/or retail industries preferred
Audit experience and CPA license preferred
Excellent communicator, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
Netsuite or similar ERP experience preferred
Understanding and experience with ASC 606 required
