Job Summary:
The role as a Senior Technical Content Development Engineer is envisioned to be focused on providing technical resource in support of element14’s online proposition – with a particular focus on driving community engagement and technical content for both community and transactional websites of Avnet & PF related to latest technology trends.

Principal Responsibilities:
Developing Content on various Technologies and posting them on community and website
Driving strong and correlate connections between Avnet & Element14 communities
Developing expertise in quickly grasping existing content and develop interesting digital content for various digital content media and strategies
Drive Avnet sponsor supplier product offerings in component technologies ranging from Semiconductors – Digital & Analog, Processors, communication technologies and Interconnect products.
Providing pro-active responses to online content related technical queries/threads
Advocating Avnet and Element14 products on other social media channels
Active participation in forums, ask the expert, tech support
Utilize specialised product knowledge to develop marketing collateral material
Provides value added solutions for the company and its defined supplier(s) growth plans and business.
Identifies, defines, implements and supports hardware and software based solutions through the engineering development process.
Develops key engineering and marketing relationships within the company’s supplier business units to drive collaboration and solution development at the engineering level.
Identifies and creates opportunity demand for identified products, coordinating the supporting seminars, training and resource awareness that drives growth plan success for defined supplier(s)
Maintains and drives trending knowledge of products, competitors, technology and customers in the assigned supplier product market
Applies technical/marketing/product expertise to position company as the distributor of choice to suppliers.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:
Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline. Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.
Keep updated on latest product trends in Electronics and Components.
Full understanding of the breadth of Embedded products and ioT peripherals offered by Element14
Keep updated with the latest trends in Cloud technologies related to ioT implementation.
Ability to understand flow of technical content from the view of Design Engineers, Hobbyist and Enthusiasts
Ability to write and edit with clean English Grammer
Working closely with various product teams and ensure the learning of products and tools
Continually develop specialist knowledge and keep up to date the EDE market requirements.
Build effective relationships with colleagues, regional tech teams and customers.
Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis. May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determines best course of action to achieve results.
Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.
Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization. May represent department internally or externally.
Actions may impact the success of the overall department and/or the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions may result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.

Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of work experience.
Education and Certification(s):
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Formal education at school level in English language a must.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
Experience of working on content development for various types of electronic components and their applications for a minimum of two years.
Understanding of broad spectrum of technologies like Analog Design, Embedded Design, IoT , RF , Cloud Security etc.
Ability to quickly go through technical documentation and articles to build original write up quickly on a broad spectrum of components including Analog Design, Embedded Design, Electro-Mechanical components, IoT , RF , Cloud Security etc.
Experience in Editing Technology content like Tutorials, Blogs and Spotlight Articles
Flexible and adaptable attitude.
