Our mission is to advance access to affordable, comprehensive, high-quality health coverage and care and we pursue clients that enable our firm to stay true to that mission.Position DescriptionAurrera Health Group offers a dedicated and fast-paced environment focused on helping a range of clients improve our systems of care and the health care safety net. As an important member of the Finance and Accounting team, the Staff Accountant will manage Accounts Payable and Payroll processing. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, high-level energy and motivation, and strong attention to detail.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage accounts payable (AP) workflow, ensuring proper account coding, document retention, approvals, and payment.Own ADP payroll processing, accuracy, and timesheet analysisProcess and Reconcile PTO, flexible spending plan (FSA) totals, 401k contributions etc.Analyzes and maintains vacation/sick/leave accrualsSupport various planning and forecasting efforts related to headcount.Partner with HR on payroll and benefit process improvements, documentation, and administrationMaintain payroll and benefit trackers and generate reports as requested.Required QualificationsMust have: Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics)2+ years Payroll experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with various payroll systemsExcellent interpersonal skills and can build relationships with broad stakeholders, including team members across the company.Must be a self-starter.Must be: A quick study.Highly reliable and able to manage multiple assignments of various duration and shifting priorities.A team player, having a positive attitude with the ability to work independently and a willingness to help others.LocationAurrera Health Group’s main office is in Sacramento, California. However, our team is working remotely until further notice due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Occasional travel will be required. It is anticipated that remote workstations will remain available for all Aurrera Health Group staff, determined in consultation with your supervisor.
