TTT – SharePoint – Senior
EY’s GDS Tax Technology team’s mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of EY’s core Tax practice, you’ll develop a deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.
Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and study more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization. Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.
EY’s GDS Tax Technology team members work side-by-side with the firm’s partners, clients and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies and enable our clients with disruptive and market leading tools supporting Tax.
GDS Tax Technology works closely with clients and professionals in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and Internal Tax Services. GDS Tax Technology provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support to the global TAX service line both on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests.
EY is currently seeking a SharePoint Senior to join our Tax Technology practice in Bangalore, India.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior with expertise in SharePoint to join the TTT team in Tax SL. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a pioneer firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.
Your key responsibilities
Candidate must have strong analytical skills as well as self-assured decision-making ability.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills – including Pivot tables and charts, nested and array formulas, ability to design and develop dashboards, understanding Visual Basic for Applications and automation
Familiarity with Microsoft Access, structured programming concepts, relational database design and SQL
Understanding of Excel PowerPivot, Power View and Power Query will be preferred
An ability to quickly understand complex tax concepts and use technology to support data modelling, research, visualization or process automation
Prior work experience with any of the following is a plus: SSIS, TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau,
Microsoft BI stack.
Skills and attributes for success
Good exposure to latest technologies like React / SPFx.
Strong working knowledge of the same.
Should be a self-starter and new technology enthusiast.
Should adapt to latest technology and bring it in projects.
Experience in JavaScript Object Model JSON is must.
Should have expert knowledge in JavaScript and JQuery.
Experience with custom workflows, Business Intelligence dashboards, Site collections, Sub sites, Master Pages, Lists, Custom Lists, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts
Experience Linking SharePoint lists to SQL database and fields to Excel spreadsheet
Knowledge of Microsoft .NET technology stack, experience with SQL Server, PDF, XML, HTML and CSS
Experience in creating reports, scorecards, and dashboards for Business Intelligence using Excel, Power Pivot, SQL Server Reporting Services or any such tools
Knowledge and familiarity with libraries such as Angular JS, Bootstrap, D3.js Node.JS is desirable
Interest in learning about the domains of mobility taxation, expatriate assignment services, global payroll and analytics
Ability to work in a team environment with strong customer focus, good listening, negotiation and problem-resolution skills.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Software Engineering / Information Technology / MBA / MCA.
An overall 4+ years’ experience with at least 6– 8 years of relevant hands on work experience in architecting, building, integrating and delivering enterprise-wide large-scale applications with capability of leading Metadata and Data Governance project
Ideally, you’ll also have
Thorough knowledge Tax or Finance Domain.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
The ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members
