Job Description : Job Summary: Processes physician claims for insurance or medical payment. Reviews claims in order to ensure that proper guidelines have been followed.Transcribe medical reports, summaries, office visit notes and other medical documents from recorded messages from health care providers and coding.Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codesEnsure codes are accurate and sequenced correctly in accordance with government and insurance regulations.Bachelor, Masters or Ph.D.*Provide online copies of transcribed documents to physicians or other providers for review and signature, making corrections or changes as notedFamiliarity with proper grammar, spelling and sentence structure as well as medical jargon and abbreviations for accuracyWork with transcription equipment that can include speech recognition equipment, word processing, and computer softwareMaintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulationsExamining documents for missing information.Assigning CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM and ASA codes.Assigning APC and DRG codes.Ensuring documents are grammatically correct and free from typing errors.Performing chart audits.Advising and training staff on medical coding.Ensuring compliance with medical coding policies and guidelines.Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liabilityCreate templates and enter data into electronic health record (EHR) systems for updated record keeping and archivesMUST KNOW E CLINICAL WORKS.3-5 years previous Medical coding and transcribing experience required for INTERNAL MEDICINE AND PEDIATRICSExperience with coding,Strong understanding of medical terminology and ability to use it in daily tasksEffective verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of customersAbility to work effectively with a team or alone to achieve goals and complete tasksStrong multi-tasking, organizational skillsJob Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timePay: ₹20,000.00 – ₹45,000.00 per monthExperience:coding: 5 years (Required)Transcription: 2 years (Required)Language:english (Required)
