Job Description : Job ProfileInstitutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy andbespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions.IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, PrimeBrokerage and Global Capital Markets.Research Technology, part of IST, works uses agile delivery model. There are squads of 6-12, that are assignedprojects. Each squad works with a Product Owner and focuses on the delivery of the required business features.Candidate needs to adept in Java JEE tech stack and should have mind set of frequent delivery with Zero bugs inproduction.Development of new applications is typically done using Micro services architecture with software packaged inDocker, ready for cloud deployments. Typical tech stack used in application development is RDBMS (Sybase) orNoSQL(Mongo), Java middle tier(Spring Boot), and Angular Front end.Tech StackHands-on: The job requires strong hands on skills on Java.Java 1.8: Knowledge of Java 1.8 or later versions is essential.Spring/Springboot: Knowing spring/Springboot is essential and is used for most of the app dev.Junit Jupiter: Automation Testing is done as part of software development using Junit Jupiter by the developer.Git: You can manage code using either CLI or any other UI tool like source tree, or Java IDE.Database:RDBMS (Sybase): Basic CRUD operations in RDBMS is sufficient to get started.NoSQL (MongoDB): Basic knowledge of NoSQL CRUD operations is sufficient to get started.Knowledge of following will help, but not mandatory:1. JPA (immediate on job learning will be required if not skilled )2. Micro Services3. Docker4. Swagger5. Zookeeper6. Spring Cloud7. Understanding of CICD8. Knowledge of SOAP/XMLDesign:SOLID: You are clear on SOLID principles for software design.Design Patterns: You are familiar with at least few important Java Design Patterns and able to use themduring software development.
