Position Description
Title: System Administrator, Desk Side
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the maintenance of Connolly’s Client Environment. Areas of responsibility include, but not limited to, hardware and software for workstations, full user support, and technical problem resolution for all Connolly facilities and locations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Delivery
Monitor and complete tickets within SLA timeframe in assigned queues. Escalate issues as required/needed. Coordinate with other staff for the purpose of completing projects/request efficiently. Create accurate documentation for all customer interactions. Ensure effective and efficient delivery of ITIL processes such as Incident, Request and Problem Management.
Desktop Support
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT equipment associated with Desktop Support (spare parts, end user equipment that is online and in use, software licenses required for end user equipment). Ensure software required for end users is configured correctly and functioning at peak performance. Collaborate with System and Network Administrators to ensure that front-end systems are communicating/functioning with
back end systems and network at optimum levels. Analyze technical issues and problems, diagnose problems, provide support to employees and assist other IT staff with issues. Manage and monitor the distribution of all end user software security patches, updates and encryption.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.

Experience Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related field.
3+ years working in a systems administration with a focus on operational excellence and process automation.
Ability to communicate clearly, simply, and effectively on both technical and non-technical matters to peers and all levels of the organization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Demonstrates good problem-solving skills. Can differentiate a small discrepancy from a large on and takes appropriate action. Learns through experience and applies learning appropriately to future situations. Knows when to solve problems on own and when to consult supervisor or others for support.
