Position : IT Director

Job Description : Cherry Republic’s IT Director provides comprehensive support to practices that empower the organization through technology and tools. The IT Director will also lead the IT Department staff to set clear expectations, goals, and accountability within the department.

Essential Responsibilities:

Set targets and successfully lead all IT personnel to be a high-achieving department.
Drive the technology strategy and planning for the organization.
Identify and eliminate security risks.
Ensure maximum security of all company data, network access and backup systems.
Successfully drive initiatives that increase user satisfaction of all systems and hardware.
Control and evaluate all IT and electronic data operations.
Develop and document business processes and technology policies to strengthen internal controls.
Provide leadership of company ERP (Acumatica), POS (Fusion), and other ancillary software/hardware that flows to the ERP.
Ensure proper working of all IT infrastructure, including servers, network technology, phone systems, and physical security systems.
Create backup and disaster recovery plans and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring effective project management on all IT-related initiatives.
Liaise with other departments to determine and address their IT needs and requirements.
Verify application results by conducting system audits of technologies.
Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security and control structures.
Identify problematic areas and implement preventative strategic solutions.
Direct technical research based on organizational goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
Recommend electronic information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating desired outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating necessary requirements.
Provide exceptional internal and external customer service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
Prepare financial budget and performance tracking for IT-related expenses.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking “best practices.”

Necessary Skills:

Keen attention to detail as it relates to the flow of all company electronic communication and technical assets.
Self-directed with a commitment to integrity and excellence.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of IP networks, Windows networks, and VMWare.
Excellent verbal and written (technical and non-technical) communication skills.
Competency in leading, training and inspiring others in/outside of IT Dept.
Ability to breakdown process(es) into simplified and easy-to-understand steps.
Ability to successfully articulate technical language and to skillfully describe certain processes and procedures to those outside of the IT Dept. with compassion and finesse.
Strong creative skills to develop new and innovative solutions

Experience/Education:

Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in technical studies preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience leading an IT (or similar) Department.
