Job Description : PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF JOB:
The job of Administrative Front Desk is for the purpose/s of providing secretarial and administrative support to the administration; communicating information to students, parents, staff, ensuring compliance with financial and administrative requirements; and supporting the broad array of services provided to students, parents, instructional and support employees.
Nasri Academy for Gifted Children is a place where we instill the love of discovery and innovation in students, helping them to develop their curiosity, self-esteem, and resiliency.
Gifted children have specialized social, emotional, and academic needs and we understand that. We have developed a program that is specifically designed to focus on all three of these areas.
Children need a peer group with whom they are able to share the love of discovery and develop healthy self-esteem. Our instructors and staff are able to connect with and provide the motivation to expand the learning desire in gifted children.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
Support teachers and school administrators from generating school letters, to making copies and provide daily support to school personnel.
Greets all incoming visitors for the purpose of ensuring that guests sign in/out as required.
Collects funds and/or tuition from parents.
Maintains a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases (e.g. information packets, rosters/listings, calendars, outstanding supply orders, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing reliable information and complying with district, state and federal requirements.
Maintains inventory of supplies and materials (e.g. forms, office supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring items’ availability.
Schedules tours for prospective students.
Performs record keeping and general clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, mailings, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or materials as needed.
Processes, sorts, checks for accuracy, and files documents in accordance with established systems; distributes intra-system and general delivery mail; maintains routine office records relating to student records, instructional materials, etc.
Prepares written materials (e.g. correspondence, agendas, newsletter, Parent Handbook, bulletins, reports, bank deposits, receipts, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
General knowledge of the principles of organization and administration.
General knowledge of elementary arithmetic.
General knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and vocabulary usage.
Knowledge of basic computer operation.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school with clerical experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Experience with Quick-Books and Excel is a MUST!
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment, including utilizing pertinent software applications; planning and managing projects; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
SPECIFIC knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: business telephone etiquette; accounting/bookkeeping principles; and concepts of grammar and punctuation.
SPECIFIC ABILITIES required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; multitasking; meeting deadlines and schedules; working with frequent interruptions; setting priorities; working as part of a team; making independent decisions; and administering immediate first aid.
MUST HAVES: Able to work under limited supervision, while maintaining a positive school image at all times.
Must be an independent, organized, fast learner, who is reliable, friendly, honest and kind.
Must be a multi-tasker, creative, resourceful and a detail oriented individual.
Must be able to pass a background check!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
