As part of the Tri-County Strong Crisis Counseling initiative, checks in with individuals in the community and in flood-damaged neighborhoods offering traditional crisis counseling services and supports. Services and supports may be provided by phone, on doorsteps, inside homes utilizing PPE for safety, or in other non-traditional locations where survivors are comfortable. This includes coffee shops and houses of worship. Participates in required trainings including but not limited to Just-In-Time Crisis Counseling Program Training Series and Core Content 2-day Training. Conducts outreach by contacting neighborhood, community, and faith-based organization to help spread the word about Tri-County Strong counseling services.

As part of the Tri-County Strong Crisis Counseling initiative, checks in with individuals in the community and in flood-damaged neighborhoods offering traditional crisis counseling services and supports. Services and supports may be provided on doorsteps, inside homes utilizing PPE for safety, or in other non-traditional locations where survivors are comfortable. This includes coffee shops and houses of worship.
Assists individuals in accessing crisis stabilization services and/or referral to behavioral health services if more intensive services are needed.
Conducts outreach by contacting neighborhood, community, and faith-based organization t help spread the word about Tri-County Strong counseling services.
Collaborates with Behavioral Health Team Lead on difficult cases, and seeks support in problem solving as needed.
Actively participates in debriefing sessions with Behavioral Health Team Lead to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout consistent with the CCP model.
Supports Tri-County Strong psychoeducational initiatives, including webinars and group counseling activities.
Distributes Tri-County Strong braded brochures and educational materials specific to flood victims, with guidance on coping.
Actively participates in regularly scheduled meetings with Behavioral Health Team Lead to ensure goals of Tri-County Strong program and related initiatives are met.
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of trauma informed care.
Willingness to support and assist individuals with trauma related issues.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling or other human-services related area preferred. May substitute the degree with applicable education, training and experience on a year-for-year basis.
Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license and valid auto insurance.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, and other telehealth platforms.
