Job Description : Employee Referral Bonus: $500
Introduce us to someone we hire and we’ll pay you $200 after their first 30 days and another $300 after their first 90 days.

Rent the Backyard is a high-growth construction manufacturing company in West Oakland. We make small backyard homes that homeowners across the Bay Area use to make money and live more financially stable lives while giving more people a place to live.

Responsibilities:
– Help assemble each of the backyard homes (ADUs) we build on our production line
– Operate power tools including saws, drills, and forklifts (after certification)
– Follow safety procedures
– Use task tracking app to help us document and improve the building process
– Keep work environment clean and tidy
Desired Skills:
– High School diploma or equivalent (GED, trade school, etc) required
– Reliable and detail oriented
– Ability to work as a team or individually
– Flexible working on many different types of problems
– Some knowledge of construction / fabrication processes and tools (as a hobbyist or professional) preferred
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to stand for at least two hours at a time
– Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
– Able to work in a manufacturing environment every day with loud volumes, wood dust, sharp materials, and concrete floors. We’ll give you everything you need to stay safe and comfortable (respirator masks, ear protection, gloves, knee pads, back braces, etc)
