Position : Behavioral Health Technician

Job Description : Quest Counseling & Consulting, a local substance abuse disorders and mental health treatment provider, is currently seeking qualified individuals for a Full-Time Behavioral Health Tech position at our adolescent boys transitional housing program.
We currently have a need for the following schedule. All applicants should be available to cover all of the following days and times. This position could warp into more desirable shifts at a later date.
Monday – 1:30pm – 9:30pm
Tuesday/Wednesday – 12:00am – 8:00am
Thursday/Friday – offSaturday/Sunday – 4pm – 12am
Primary Responsibilities for this position are to:

Provide direct on-site contact, monitoring and supervision of our adolescent clients to ensure their safety and well-being while in Quest House
Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR) and/or Basic Skills Training (BST)
Demonstrate awareness of the domestic needs in the home and the ability to meet those needs

Essential Qualities include the ability to:

Demonstrate efficient communication skills and to work as a team member
Demonstrate maturity of judgment, attitude and life skills
Demonstrate, by personal actions, desired qualities of responsibility, community involvement and interaction; following the rules and principles of society; and positive work habits so that behavior desired for Quest House clients will be modeled
Encourage clients to practice positive behaviors and using constructive communication skills in the home and on outings
Maintain appropriate boundaries
Possess an upbeat, positive and energetic attitude!

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree* from an accredited university is preferred but not required. High School Diploma is required.
* Human Development and Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Social Work, Community Health Sciences, Psychology, or other related behavioral health field.
Candidates must be 21 years or older. Must apply and be able to pass Washoe County Human Service Agency’s clearance process which includes a background check. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a drug test including THC.
