Position : Business Analyst
Job Description : General Summary: The Business analysts is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to management.
Essential Functions:
Gathering and preparing business requirements for AX development projects or other in-house software.
Perform acceptance testing
Planning and documentation of processes and changes
Updating knowledge base solution
End user training and follow-up
SQL report writing and analytics
Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
Budgeting and forecasting
Variance analysis
Pricing and cost analysis
Creation of entity relationship diagrams and SSRS Report Development
Defining business requirements and reporting them back to the IT Manager
Necessary Skills:
Strong Oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal and consultative skills
Programming X++, C++ or Java
Analytical thinking and problem solving
Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
Organizational skills
Knowledge of business structure
Stakeholder analysis
Requirements engineering
Costs benefit analysis
Processes modeling
Understanding of networks, databases and other technology
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Microsoft AX 2012 and SQL experience strongly preferred
Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with users at all level
Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
