The Cashier greets guests, answers phone calls and tenders checks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in a high volume pool/nightclub atmosphere. The Cashier works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times.

Everyone works in EVS – If there is trash on the floor, it is your responsibility to pick it up. If it is a mess that needs more attention, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual.
Everyone works in Guest Experience – If a guest needs assistance, it is your responsibility to assist that guest and do so with a smile. If the guest needs more assistance than you can provide, it is your responsibility to notify the appropriate department or individual.
Primary Job Duties – Includes, but is not limited to:
Greet, interact, entertain and serve guest’s courteously and in a timely manner with an upbeat attitude.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner.
Anticipate guest needs and inform guest about venues, menus, specials, pricing and directions.
Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift.
Report any incidents of theft, vandalism or violations.
Respond to guest concerns/complaints regarding service or beverages and correct errors or resolve complaints with a positive attitude.
Maintain knowledge of all retail offerings and is ability to suggestively sell and attend to guest needs.
Control guests’ checked-in belongings through a ticketing system and proper care and custody of guests’ garments.
Refer all unusual requests to management for proper handling.
Handle all payments including room charges, cash, credit card, comps etc. through the POS system.
Present merchandise in an appealing fashion.
Keep assigned work area(s), service station and service equipment clean and organized of dirty glasses, dirty ashtrays, trash and any unnecessary items throughout shift.
Ensure daily/nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed.
Maintain opening, running and closing service equipment par, product and supply par.
Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management immediately.
Ensure that all area(s) are set-up correctly and clean.
Ensure proper rotation of all items.
Clean all spills and waste in a timely manner.
Safely transport dishes, glasses and service items from table areas to back of house or service station.
Dispose trash in proper receptacles.
Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws.
Process guest payment and checks by cash, credit card, venue comps and all other tender types through POS terminal functions.
Ensure accurate accounting of all bar monies and independent banking procedures.
Use proper check out procedures when checking guests out.
Ensure that required licensing is maintained & updated.
Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Required:
At least one year of cash handling experience.
Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Polished appearance and demeanor.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
At least 21 years of age.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of POS systems (ex: Micros, UrVenue, etc.).
Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer and mixed cocktails.
Experience working in a day club or nightclub.
Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
