We are currently seeking a Controller with the below qualifications:
Professional Attributes
Maintain and improve accounting policies, processes, and procedures in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Integrate and improve a system of internal controls to ensure all accounting activities are properly maintained and reported correctly.
Assist in the prepare monthly financial statements, gross profit analyses, and other financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly statements.
Work in conjunction with other accounting personnel and team members to ensure integrity of all financial activities and documentation.
Handle all bank and account reconciliations.
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department, including month and year-end closes
Maintain the General Ledger, making GL entries, and reconciling all accounts.
Partner with HR and Payroll as it relates to GL management.
Work with CFO to plan, direct, oversee, research, and implement all accounting and financial related functions for the organization. Include collections, disbursements, analysis, and ensure the accuracy of all financial data.
Perform evaluations/ reviews for accounting staff members.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Thorough understanding and use of Quickbooks software
Advanced in Excel
Proficient in use of ERP system; IQMS and Epicore
Management experience required
Highly analytical, with problem-solving and pragmatic skills
Able to communicate effectively with senior management
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, ADP Workforce Now.
