Job Description : IT System Support Analyst
An emphasis on customer service, this individual will support the operation of all corporate systems and provide technical assistance to the entire Boss PetEdge team. Daily, this individual will apply their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills as they support corporate systems, computer applications, printers, VoIP phone systems, handheld computing devices, network infrastructure and many other solutions leveraged by the organization. The IT Systems Support Engineer works traditional daytime hours, splitting their time between an office setting and a warehouse/distribution center floor. Involvement in after-hours support and special projects, and our 24-hour on call rotation is also required.
The purpose of this position is to solve problems, including problems with desktop computing equipment, printers, technology infrastructure, networks, and software systems. A person in this position will identify, resolve, and document solutions to these problems. If a problem cannot be resolved in a reasonable amount of time or within this person’s realm of knowledge, this person will engage other members of the IT team to assist.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Provide daily support to PC and MAC users by using problem analysis, judgment and decision-making skills to troubleshoot, assist with use of all PetEdge approved software products, and perform or arrange maintenance for hardware faults
Assist with desktop and warehouse system troubleshooting and coordinate desktop equipment or software maintenance activities
Respond to requests in our service management system, emails, and phone calls
Document all requests, problems, and services provided into our service management system
Reliably perform daily tasks and issue reports associated with IT operations
Regularly monitor and evaluate all hardware and systems to ensure they are in good working order
Install and test PC/MAC/Server hardware, software, printers, telephones, and other items
Repair or replace desktop and server hardware
Server reboots and patching
Research and recommend the purchase of New/Replacement Desktop Software and Hardware
In addition to working regular business hours, this position requires involvement in the department “on-call” rotation which could include several weeks of being on call per month.
This person may also be expected to complete special projects and special assignments. Some assignments may require off-hour activity

Required Position Skills

Customer service focus required
Advanced working knowledge of the most current Windows OS and MAC OS
Must possess computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business, with a strong orientation towards providing outstanding customer service
Demonstrated effective organization and project management skills are essential including the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to work independently and have solid problem analysis, judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on company needs (nights and weekends) and rotating On-Call
Ability to work with highly confidential information
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
1 year or more in a technical support role required
Experience working in a Distribution Center desirable
Experience in a large (100+ user) environment desirable
Professional experience with Mac OS X and Mac applications HIGHLY preferred
Experience supporting wireless IP networks desirable
Experience managing accounts in an Active Directory preferred
Experience with SAP access controls is a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
