We foster fairness, equity, and inclusion to create a workplace environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
The Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS), part of the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), is looking to hire three Project Coordinators to join our dedicated and compassionate team .
OUR AGENCY MISSION
“To help Oregonians in their own communities achieve well-being and independence through opportunities that protect, empower, respect choice and preserve dignity.”
Equity is foundational to our role as a human services agency, and we are committed to integrating equity into all we do. The Equity North Star has four points that explain the agency’s goals related to equity, inclusion, and racial justice.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Office of Developmental Disabilities Services (ODDS) administers state-funded programs for persons with developmental disabilities including but not limited to planning, resource development, consultation, technical assistance and monitoring and evaluation.
ODDS over sees the delivery of residential, employment, family support, crisis, and case management services through county governments or their private subcontract agencies. Over 15,000 Oregonians are receiving one or more of these services in various programs located throughout the State.
Case management is a service provided by ODDS that can be accessed through a Case Management Entity (CME). CME personal agents are providers of case management services for adults who live in their own or family home. CME service coordinators are providers of case management services for children and adults who live in a variety of settings including their family home, foster homes, and 24-Hour residential group homes as well as adults who live in their own homes.
Case management requires frequent, planned contact with the individual to assess progress toward goals. Service Coordinators and Personal Agents communicate and plan with multiple service systems to ensure provision of appropriate services and assess service effectiveness. Individuals and their family members also are encouraged to use their skills to access resources, fully participate in services, and evaluate progress.
Currently much of this work is in separate programs, access databases or paper files. This project will create a state data source to centralize all case management data for state oversight.
