Position : Referral Specialist

Job Description : Looking for a Referral Specialist to join our busy Pediatrics group. Must be able to multitask, communicate effectively and work well with others. Reliable transportation required.
Job duties include but are not limited to:

Executing patient referrals as ordered by physicians
Reviewing clinical data to report medical necessity to insurance companies
Obtaining authorizations as required by the individual insurance companies
Forwarding medical records and prior authorizations to specialists
Scheduling of procedures/tests with facilities at the request of providers
Directly communicating with the clinics, referral clinics, and patients
Document referral provider information within the EHR

Familiarity with local insurances required
Minimum one year referral experience required.
