If you share our passion, it’s time for you to join our team of creators.Your responsibilitiesSupervises one or more production departments (areas) and the employees within it, maintains and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs), manages schedules and checks attendance. Area Supervisor is responsible for area’s key performance indicators (KPIs), such as fulfillment days, damage rate (%), late shipments (%), labor cost per unit, reshipment rate (%) and individual employee output expectations.Schedule employees to ensure sufficient staffing to meet production goals.Assign employees to workstations according to their skills to maximize individual and team performance.Upkeep employee motivation to achieve maximum results and meet or exceed expectations.Create, maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training guides, and ensure that employee training is performed accordingly.Perform employee training according to the developed SOPs, retrain employees when necessary.Monitor employee attendance and performance daily. Uphold Printful’s Code of Conduct as written in the Handbook.Follow and enforce company policies.Perform verbal / written employee counseling on attendance and performance as required by policies.Recognize top talent, organize team building events and weekly team huddles.Provide feedback on employee performance on a predetermined schedule. Hold Annual Reviews as instructed by the Director of Operations / HR.Provide recommendations about the necessary production equipment and material handling tools and their layout for optimal workflow. Oversee/organize layout changes if / when required.Partner with the Maintenance technician/-s on technical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance so that the products are meeting the company’s quality standards while minimizing machine downtime.Assist in the training of personnel on machine preventive maintenance according to the machine maintenance guides.Ensure that correct startup and closing procedures for the machinery are performed daily.Keep track of the production supplies. Perform weekly inventory audits, inform the Inventory coordinator/clerk whenever any out of cycle production supplies are needed.Assist with supply restocking when necessary.Coordinate / research alternative options whenever a supplier is not meeting quality or delivery time requirements.Ensure a smooth and efficient production flow, minimize stuck or missing items.Ensure that the production area/department is clean and organized. Make sure all equipment and tools are always returned to the right location.Ensure that the products are meeting quality standards and drive continuous improvement.Constantly monitor layout, equipment and system efficiency, provide suggestions to the direct supervisor on possible improvements.Ensure that quality control (QC) is performed correctly and that the products are meeting the company’s quality standards.Assist teams to follow correct SOPs in order to reduce the damage rate in all departments assigned.Partner with the Customer Service team to identify and resolve customer quality complaints.Safety and ComplianceReport all safety hazards to the Facilities Department / Director of Operations or Production Manager as needed.Address any safety concerns within the departments you are assigned within your general scope of knowledge.Send weekly (or as otherwise indicated) reports to the direct manager.Respond to email / slack messages within 24 hours.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Our requirementsHigh School Diploma/GEDTeamwork skillsReliableComputer skillsStrategic thinkingTime managementCommunication skillsManagement skillsAttention to detailProfessional demeanorStrong communication skills, both written and verbal in EnglishJob Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $73,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
