Job Description : Accounting Assistant for Charles Kirkland Companies
CKC is a parent company that owns 13 entities around the valley. We are looking to hire for the roll of an accounting assistant who will be employed by the parent company to assist with the accountant needs of our various companies.
The Accounting Assistant will support the accounting department by performing both clerical and organizing tasks. This individual will directly support the Controller.
Assist in recording transactions, preparing reports, organizing various filing systems, and maintaining administrative control over specified company assets
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborates with various finance functions, and coordinates between departments to ensure the timely and accurate completion of key reporting activities.
Prepare journal entries, analysis, and bank reconciliations, and assist with the monthly close process.
Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
Monitor processes to ensure efficiency is being obtained or recommend corrective measures.
Work across a variety of different platforms to streamline data into useful information that can aid in management/executive decision making.
Ensuring compliance with GAAP
Quickbooks Enterprise experience is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1-3 years of experience working in accounting.
2 years of college level accounting courses
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, adhere to deadlines and produce highly accurate results
Ability to deal effectively with all levels of an organization, from clerical staff to executives, and manage relationships with external parties
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently, yet cooperatively and constructively, in a team environment.
A perfect candidate would be an organized, pay attention to detail, positive attitude, eagerness to learn, self-sufficient and great time management skills. This is a full-time & in-office position.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
