Position : ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER – 2 POSITIONS
Job Description : This is a law enforcement/public education position. Animal Control is an extremely high public contact profession that requires a professional appearance and demeanor. The successful applicant must be able to relate equally to people and animals. Knowledge and experience in handling small and large animals is helpful. Will be required to perform euthanasia. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, run, kneel, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 60 lbs., and will be exposed to cold, heat, noise, outdoors, vibration, confining work spaces, chemicals, vicious animals, and disease.
Standard Working Hours: Work schedules could vary Must be available for shift work, on-call and standby, and be able to travel to different sites
Salary: $18.37/hour plus excellent benefits
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Valid Montana driver’s license, or must be obtain within thirty (30) days of employment Possession of, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire, State license as a Euthanasia Technician
Preferred Skills: One year of working with animals
