Job Description : Overview of Role
The Assessment Consultant (Education/Clinical) serves as a consultant to professionals in school and clinical settings to help guide decisions around psychological and psychoeducational assessment. Assessment Consultants use their professional knowledge gained from extensive formal education and related experience to identify and present optimal solutions to address customer needs and are looked to as thought leaders in the field as well as within the broader Clinical Assessment organization at Pearson. Assessment Consultants are well versed in the Clinical Assessment product offerings, beyond basic features and benefits, and are able to develop and deliver conceptually based and product focused professional presentations and workshops.
The Assessment Consultant independently manages an assigned geographical territory and utilizes the consultative sales model to drive revenue. Key measures of success are individual performance against target, territory growth, and new business development while promoting and maintaining high standards for the customer experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This role requires extensive content knowledge related to psychological and psychoeducational assessment in school settings. Assessment Consultants need to be able to complete a significant portion of work independently and must have a demonstrated ability (and willingness) to develop and conduct high-level consultation and professional presentations for both targeted and large audiences.
Assessment Consultants (Education/Clinical) must also be able to articulate (and use effectively in presentations) the professional and market trends pertaining to assessment in assigned areas (i.e., eligibility for Special Education, models of cognitive assessment, MTSS, Social-emotional learning, executive functioning, etc.).
Due to the significant customer contact demands associated with this position, Assessment Consultants must possess strong organizational skills, and a broad understanding of many assessment tools so that they are able to respond to customer needs appropriately and in a timely manner. The ability to shift focus quickly and be responsive to customer inquiries is essential.
The starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is commensurate with experience.
