Job Description : Summary: Provide high quality, caring services to residents and guests at meal times and special events. Maintain food services areas in a neat, clean and sanitary manner. Interact with residents, guests and co-workers in a friendly and helpful manner and make extraordinary impressions on all patrons at all times
Education & Experience: Must have a friendly, outgoing, personality with a strong customer service outlook on your work; a willingness to be ‘helpful and to serve’ our senior population; recent full service restaurant experience would be very helpful; however, will train the right positive attitude.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Hours will vary according to the position the shift is worked. The Café is opened from 630am to 7pm every day of the year. The first shift starts at 5:15am and the last shift is scheduled until 7:30pm. A shift could be 7-8hrs, some as few as 3-4hrs and others may be split-shifts. At this time all positions are considered to be part-time, meaning you would be scheduled less than 32 hours a week. Additional hours may be available as needed. There are no set schedules for attendants and all attendants are crossed trained to work in all areas of the Café’s responsibilities, including the Health Care Center and Employee Dining Room. The flow of the business needs come first in scheduling attendants. The attendants schedule may be different week to week. Special arrangements can usually be made around school or other job commitments; however, this would reflect the number of hours and days you will be scheduled. License(s) Required: Must obtain a Food Handlers Card from Maricopa County Health Dept within 30days of employment
