Job Description : Your Best Friend’s Friend (YBFF) has provided trusted and reliable dog walking and pet sitting services since 1999. If you love animals, love the outdoors, and are looking for permanent work then we have the perfect job for you! We are hiring full and part time dog walkers M-F. You must live with in 5-7 miles of 80237 which is where our service area is.
For our employees, we offer a fun, active, outdoor work environment, spending time independently with animals. This is an ideal position for someone ready to take their passion for animals and start to build a career. The position:

Part Time Monday to Friday (Days TBD when hired)
Full Time Monday to Friday
Shifts available: Morning, Mid and Afternoon

Compensation:

$200-$500 per week (plenty of extra jobs available if wanted)
25 cent gas reimbursement is included with each completed job.
Performance review at 90 days with a potential for a pay increase.

The responsibilities:

Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client’s dogs
Follow the client provided care instructions including positive reinforcement training methods
Provide detailed and attentive care for our client’s animals
Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch
Communicate with staff via phone/text, an industry-specific app, and photographs
Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player
Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned visits

The ideal candidate:

An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate, who can provide our client’s dogs with the highest quality visits possible. The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management. Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred but a positive attitude with a desire to learn is just as important. The candidate should enjoy an active work environment, walking independently, working outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
Physically fit. This job requires you to walk your entire shift in all kinds of Colorado weather and you will be on your feet the whole shift.
This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their current professional experience with dogs. Many members of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, vet techs, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter. The candidate should have an innate desire to care for animals while ensuring their safety.
This is a great part time opportunity for students, freelancers and retirees!

The requirements:

You are consistently available on the same days and times weekly.
The majority of tasks assigned will require you to walk or stand on your feet for several hours per day, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, walk up and down stairs; handle extra small and/or large dogs, and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Comfortable walking up to two dogs at the same time
Clients often request feedings, removing and returning their dogs from a crate, puppy pad replacements, feeding dogs and more
Capable of working in an environment with traffic, the public, and barking
You have previous customer service experience and are capable of communicating with clients, staff, and vendors in both written and spoken English
You are capable of working with little supervision
You have the patience and empathy to work with puppies and other animals with special needs and requirements (medical and behavioral concerns)
You must be 21 years or older and legally allowed to work in the US
You must own and be able to operate your own reliable, insured vehicle for the purposes of quickly traveling between client residences. No shared vehicles.
Your vehicle must be good in the snow. We do not tolerate people calling out if their car can’t handle Colorado weather.
MUST have a clean driving record
Please do not apply if you do not live within 5-7 miles of our service area 80237. It will not be worth your time with the commute.
You must own a smartphone (iOS or Android) with the ability to run our scheduling software (using data and GPS as needed)

Pay: $200.00 – $500.00 per week
