Job Description : FRONT DESK SUPERVISOR (WELCOME ENTHUSIAST SUPERVISOR)
A key participant in the mission to deliver service in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner; The Welcome Enthusiast Supervisor, will oversee and provide supervision and direction for all Welcome Desk activities of the hotel to ensure outstanding customer service and the “Simple Pleasures” needed to give all guests the “Positive Stay” promise. The Welcome Desk is the central hub of any hotel and specifically of Canopy Central – where guests will go to get information on the local neighborhood favorites, things to do and what to eat/drink. This person will need to guide the team of Welcome Enthusiasts to provide the most detailed information to our guests and seeking their individual needs. This individual will be a major support on afternoon + weekend shifts so having these schedule expectations is crucial.
Here are some of the tasks you will complete on a daily basis:

Oversee Welcome Enthusiasts and assist with all tasks of being a Welcome Enthusiast
Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data, verify correct authorizations have been obtained
Champion the use of POSITIVELY YOURS and CREATING A POSITIVE STAY.
Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
Promote, track and encourage Hilton Honors enrollments and acknowledgements
Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms based on hotel availability and guest loyalty
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, assist wherever possible when a Manager is requested
Liaise with our housekeeping and engineering staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
Up-sell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Ensure compliance with all Brand Standards of Operations including all Guest Satisfaction programs.
Communicate all issues between shifts with fellow leadership team
Maintain and sell items in Canopy Central shop

Here’s what we’re looking for in a Welcome Enthusiast Supervisor:

Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent/Supervisor, Receptionist or similar role
Experience with hotel reservations software, like ONQ strongly preferred
Energetic, creative thinker, friendly and caring in all core aspects of the Canopy culture
Self-starting personality with an even disposition
Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
Customer service attitude
Willing to help other departments when needed – major teamwork attitude
Empowered to make decisions in order to meet and exceed guest needs
·Excellent communication and organizational skills
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to): – Walking and standing throughout shift – Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
