Position : Health Information Management Supervisor
Job Description : There is a new opening available for a HIM Supervisor in a city in Colorado’s Western Slope. The hospital is a 50+ bed community based facility with 200+ providers working there.
The HIM Supervisor will oversee all Health Information services within the facility while reporting directly up to the Director of HIM. The responsibilities of this position may vary, but include;
Protecting patients rights to their health information
Oversee all operations of the Health Information
Monitoring data and employees to be sure they are in compliance with Medical Staff Laws
Assisting in all Medical Records
Works with HRRMC’s Personnel
The facility is reliant of HIM Supervisor to secure all written and electronic data within the Medical Records department, while training and meeting with employees to ensure things are running up to par. Employee supervisory may also include recruiting efforts, while being part of the interview process of open positions. The goals of the facility include delivery quality healthcare to the community, while staying organized, strong, and collected. The patient data will range from past Medical History for physicians, nurses, etc., usage as well as test results from on-site Laboratories.
