OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The HR Assistant supports Acumen’s HR function by handling a wide range of HR related tasks including administrative duties related to: recruitment, onboarding, employee records, coordination with Payroll, and support to managers and employees. Follows federal and state regulations, Company benefit plans and internal policies and procedures.

Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
Submits online investigation requests (OIG/SAMS) and assists with new-employee background checks
Assists with processing of terminations
Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
Provide support throughout the recruitment process such as scheduling interviews, job postings and maintaining candidate status in HRIS
Files documents into appropriate employee files
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
Performs monthly audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
Maintains various reporting trackers (open positions, new hires etc.)
Pull required monthly reports from HRIS as needed and updates trackers
Conducts or assists with new hire orientation
Creates/Assists in new hire profile set up in HRIS and time keeping systems
Assists in job description creation, position update, and filing
Conducts introductory training of HRIS on a monthly basis to managers
Assists Workers Comp to make sure compliance reports and trackers are up to date
Tracks and order labor compliance posters
Updates and maintains HR Documents in WIKI and the HR Google Drive
Performs other duties as assigned
ALL Acumen employees will be vigilant to support the positive compliant cybersecurity company posture by familiarizing themselves with all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines and act accordingly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year Human Resources experience required
Associate’s degree in related field preferred
Prior related office experience required
Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
Time management and organization skills sufficient to ensure timely completion of work
Able to work with minimal supervision
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
