Job Description : Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking a HR Generalist for one of their clients, a national fitness company based out of Denver, CO. This is an hybrid, direct hire position, with 2 days in-office, and pays $60K-76K (depending on experience).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist responsible for performing HR related duties supporting our employees in our field and studio locations. This position is responsible for employee relations and supporting performance management, onboarding, training, recruiting, employee relations, compensation administration, policy development and implementation. You will work closely with the field team, HR team, team members and managers to aide in resolving conflict, offer problem-solving solutions, and guide and direct performance improvement plans. Incredible interpersonal skills and a solid grasp of state and federal employment laws are essential for success in this role as you will interact and navigate complex issues with our passionate population. You will be aligned to focus your support on team members in one of our regions and will assist with projects and assignments that span all locations. This position is a key to our day-to-day operations and will require an individual who embraces the entire employee life cycle and how human resources can assist in making the company better each day.
Responsibilities:
Provide visible HR presence to our team members and leaders
Be the first line of response for employee questions relating to HR policies, communications, and initiatives
Support with recruiting process including sourcing, interviewing, workforce planning for field
Participate in onboarding activities for new hires in the field
Work to ensure best practices and current trends are recommended and followed with our business partners
Resolve day to day employee issues or conflicts while maintaining appropriate documentation
Initiates and conducts timely investigations and assists supervisors in preparing documentation and making recommendations for appropriate disciplinary action regarding team members, human relations, and work-related problems
Partner with cross functional teams on coaching and performance plan support
Conduct exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with HR Management Team
Manage and organize employee relations incidents, calls, and questions in consolidated system; track employee relations issues and provides quarterly metrics on trends
Support implementation of performance management including assisting in training managers and team members on the process
Assist in developing, monitoring, and auditing company policies and procedures and helps ensure they are kept up to date with governmental regulations and company objectives
Assist with audits and maintenance of team member records as necessary
Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor laws and regulations
Support in the management of the Human Resources Email Inbox and other HR communications avenues
Assist HR Team on miscellaneous projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a related human resources position
Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Management
Understanding and knowledge of multi-state and national employment laws and regulations; experience working with CA state employment laws
Ability to build relationships with individuals with diverse personalities and styles and at different levels of seniority
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize while working under multiple deadlines
Proven self-starter with ability to take on new projects with enthusiasm
Proven ability to build strong partnerships – identifies opportunities and takes action to work collaboratively; builds partnerships across client groups to support the achievement of goals
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Occasional evening, holiday and weekend work maybe required
Must be able to work in a stationary position, move and walk around event and office spaces, and lift occasionally up to 25 lbs
