Position : IT Operations – Demand Manager

Job Description : The IT Operations – Demand managers acts as the primary engagement contact for our customers to understand the scope of work requested for new and existing platforms that we support. This individual is the primary liaison with our customers to understand the nature of work, the level of effort required and priority against the totality of work being done across our entire portfolio. This individual will also interface internally with the operations team to understand KTLO, maintenance, incident planning and mandatory changes required to support the portfolio. A key aspect of this job will be to incorporate these understanding of the scope of work into capacity planning to ensure we understand the correct level of resources and team structure to support the work.These activities will culminate in direct negotiation with our customers to ensure the correct priority of work and the identification of any resource changes to support new and existing work for the customer.The role will be supported by Resource Management, Incident Management and Project Management.Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems.Works directly with our customer to face our Operations team that supports a large global portfolio of multiple Marketing and Digital applications.Our applications can serve up to 160 countries and 240,000 staff and a large external client base.This role will will have the following objectives that will determine success:Manages scope for all work being performed by our Operations teamUnderstands Scope Prioritization by working with the customerGathers necessary level of requirements to take the work forwardEstablishes Level of Effort to determine resourcing needsWorks with the customer to determine App Support models for the portfolioPerforms Capacity Planning to ensure work is resourced appropriately(Includes 3rd party staff aug)Manages Incident impact that results from major incidents affecting existing resources and schedulesIncorporates Remedial efforts derived from incidents into Capacity modelCandidate will require a strong combination of Scope Management and Capacity Planning skills.The role interfaces internally with all Operations teams to understand current level of resourcing, issues effecting delivery, current levels of commitment and changes to ongoing work that affect our ability to deliver as agreed.This role interacts with Resource managers to communicate support models, priority of work and desired schedules. Feedback from the resourcing team will help in establishing negotiations with the customer to ensure we can meet their needs.Our team consists of a mix of internal employees, support vendors and product vendors.Candidate will require a deep knowledge in Operations management methodology. There is opportunity for expanding the capabilities of a strong, but growing operations team. Improvement and innovation will be needed to lead this great team to the next level.Candidate will benefit the team with a strong background and understanding of capacity planning and management.Candidate should be comfortable providing upward status Resource Management, identifying gaps in our ability to meet desired SLA and work with the customer to determine the correct apps support model that is resourced and funded appropriately to meet all the requirements of the agreed upon support modelsCandidate will be aware of any internal ops initiatives required by internal security, organizational change and ops support improvements to both internal and sponsorship leaders and incorporate these needs into Scope Management and all subsequent actions required to build the correct prioritization with the customer.Candidate needs to work collaboratively with other Ops leads to coordinate and deliver on all aspects of delivery in resolving incidents, problems, projects and improvement initiatives. This requires a demonstrated ability to understand all aspects of the initiative, including Ops constraints, business needs and vendor support structures.This role requires the ability to manage people of varying skills, locations, cultures and levels within the organization, while always keeping a laser focus on maintaining stable, healthy application environments that support production and product release schedules.Roles and Responsibilities.Provide main entry point for the customer to establish scope, priority, app support models, capacity planning and funding discussionsBuild and guide implementation of team structures through capacity planning to ensure maximum uptime for all applications and systems in the data centre. Works internally to guide the implementation of successful application support models.Manage a number of operation related projects at one time, and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of applications. The IT Ops Demand leader may find the environment to be busy, noisy and will need excellent organizational, time and stress management skills to complete the required tasks.Helps the Ops team to communicate impacts from incidents or resourcing issues and to facilitate changes to schedule, scope or resourcing.Experience in Operation and Supporting on various ApplicationsExperience in Vendor Coordination for third party coordinationExperience in team handling.Experience decision making and escalation appropriately.Experience Level:5 or more years experience.Other Details:The incumbent must demonstrate the following skillsManagement and supervisory skillsAnalytical and problem solving skillsDecision making skillsEffective verbal, written presentation and listening communications skillsExperience on Operation, Application, and Monitoring skillsExperience on Staff Management and Team working.Education Level:Undergraduate degrees in any of the following fields:EngineeringIT or Computer ScienceBusiness or Business AdministrationManagementJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From $60.00 per hourAdditional pay:Overtime paySchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)Experience:Operations Management: 5 years (preferred)
