Position : Laboratory Department Manager
Job Description : The Laboratory Department Manager is responsible for overall planning, direction, utilization, budgeting, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, volunteers and students utilized in the Lab Department. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of all laboratory related services, plans for providing care, performance improvement programs, policies and procedures, maintaining adequate qualified and competent personnel, adequate space, and adequate equipment & supplies to ensure a high degree of quality patient care. The Manager will also ensure effective integration of the department and operations plan that compliment the organization’s plans for continuous performance improvement and the delivery of high reliability care.
Schedule: Eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts. Weekends, holidays, and other shifts only as needed to provide coverage
Educational Requirements: BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Applicable license for technical area is required.
