Job Description : Big Sky Design,
A pagination arm of Adams Publishing Group, is seeking skilled newspaper page designers who have the ability to perform quickly and bring stories alive in print for papers.
Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is a must, and a background in journalism, particularly with AP wire editing, is a bonus. Being versatile is required to be able to work on any of our two dozen publications, and one must possess strong communication skills to converse with editors over an instant messaging system.
While we are headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, working remotely is our preferred option, as most of our designers are now operating across the country. We are no longer in an office, so being a team player is more important than ever as we are looking to expand and raise our level of quality.
Our designers are expected to work nights, holidays and sometimes weekends. Designers will be required to produce and output 2.5-3 pages an hour in a fast-paced but sustainable and rewarding team-based work environment.
