Job Description : Go Grrls Prevention Program for Youth is a sexual health education program geared toward female-identified girls in grades six through eight and focuses on numerous topics such as pregnancy prevention, making healthy choices, sound decision-making, positive self-esteem, and healthy relationships all while playing games and earning prizes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The
Program Facilitator’s duties include facilitating interactive learning, following evidence-based program curriculum to fidelity (virtually and in-person), recruiting, completing assessments and reports. The Program Facilitator will create and maintain partnerships with local organizations/schools in order to implement programming in the schools and community. Facilitators receive training and ongoing support, skill-building, and best practices. This program facilitates the sexual health education curriculum, Go Grrrls, to female-identified youth in middle school. The Program Facilitator will lead workshop groups in school districts during in-school and after-school hours. Duties include preparing the room, leading a group for 1-2 hours of interactive learning, cleaning up, and completing all reporting needed after each session.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 1 year of directly related experience working directly with youth as equivalence. (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
At least 1-year experience as a group facilitator and working knowledge of classroom management techniques (preferably working with both adults and youth) is required.
Knowledge of sexual health, trauma-informed approaches, positive youth development, youth-friendly referrals, classroom management, LGBTQIA+ Inclusivity, Mandatory Reporting, and other components critical to providing a safe and supportive environment for youth is preferred.
Knowledge of adolescent development and effective prevention strategies in the fields of suicide, substance use, school dropout, and violence including bullying is preferred.
Excellent communication and writing skills. Exercises discretion in acquiring and disseminating confidential and proprietary information.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively work with the general public, clients, and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of database management systems.
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Ability to work with people from various cultural backgrounds.
Adheres to agency policies and procedures.
Meets department performance/productivity standards.
Must be able to be certified in CPR/First Aid.
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean MVR report, insurance, and vehicle, and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 39 months.
Must be eligible and able to obtain a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must be able to present proof of vaccination and submit vaccination cards upon hire.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or ability to obtain COVID-19 vaccination prior to the date of hire is required.
