RESPONSIBILITIES OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF TEENS:
With the guidance of the Executive Branch Director, develops, implements, and manages youth and teen programs, complying with all Association standards and safety procedures.
Works in teen center and/or lead programs as needed.
Assists in the development, monitoring of the teen department budget. Assesses and recommends budgeting for program need to the Executive Director.
Develops collaborative relationships with community youth-serving institutions, including schools, youth agencies, parks and recreation, and service clubs.
This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF TEENS:
Ability to train teen staff
A passion for working with teens
Minimum three years working in teen programs including program development, volunteer supervision and specialized program areas
Bachelor’s degree in education, social services, recreation or equivalent
Ability to develop positive relationships
