At Nexus 21, we’re looking for a purchaser who can maintain relationships of trust with our valued vendors while overseeing the flow of goods into the business. Primary Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain relationships with vendors
· Place orders based on required inventory levels
· Manage order acknowledgments, check accuracy, make corrections
· Manage open order report to ensure timeliness of orders
· Track down and expedite late shipments
· Manage logistics for incoming international shipments
· Manage QuickBooks-based digital inventory control system
· Utilize current and historical information to forecast inventory needs
· Assess and adjust reorder points
· Maintain BOMs and create build orders
· Manage bi-annual physical inventory process
· Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies
· Assist with accounts payable
· Assist Office Operations Manager with various administrative tasks
Our Ideal Candidate:
· Has a background in purchasing, especially for small business
· Has a strong attention to detail, and asks for clarification on things they don’t understand
· Considers themself a multitasker who carries out responsibilities with little supervision, taking advantage of project-management tools and staying highly organized at all times
· Is able to maintain positive relationships with vendors while also holding them accountable
· Uses common sense and critical thinking skills to identify and solve discrepancies
· Has a good eye for spotting errors
· Is a go-getter who takes it upon themself to complete all tasks to the best of their ability in a timely manner
· Embraces fluid tasks and priorities; can easily pivot from one thing to another
· Can take constructive criticism well and apply it to future scenarios
· Enjoys collaborating with colleagues in a fun social atmosphere
Required Qualifications:
· 1 – 2 years of experience in a purchasing role
· Must have experience working within QuickBooks or a similar accounting system
· Strong organizational and communication skills

$46,000 / year
