SUPERVISOR:
Principal or designee.
SUMMARY:
Oversees the collection and reporting of student academic records for the building. Coordinates pre-registration, registration, enrollment, grade reports, permanent files and related systems. May perform clerical duties including drafting letters, memorandums and reports. Assists in the smooth and effective operation of the counseling office. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Processes incoming/outgoing students, including records maintenance, evaluation, orientation and scheduling. Includes maintenance of current confidential student records and files, special enrollments, student census and class assignments. Provides information as required. 2. Responds to telephone calls, routes calls, takes messages and assists staff, students, parents and community in regards to concerns and questions relating to cumulative files. 3. Prepares letters, memorandums, reports, brochures and related materials such as newsletters, appraisals, honor roll certificates, continuation certificates, in addition to working on special projects for department/building. 4. Supervises student record procedures including grade reports, test results, cumulative folders and student schedules. 5. Collects, prepares and distributes information and materials for staff 6. Assists in the student check-in process. 7. Assists in the CSAP testing process. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel 4. Organizational skills
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
1 to 2 years in related field Prefer experience in educational environment
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequent bending, reaching, climbing Moderate physical effort (lifting up to 25 pounds) Sedentary (long periods of sitting with freedom to move about)Handling, talking, hearing and near acuity required Comparing, computing, compiling and coordinating ability required Eye/hand coordination (e.g., typing, ten key) Normal school district environment Working alone Working with others
