Job Description : POSITION SUMMARY

Summer is almost here and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Lifeguards! We are looking for candidates who can commit to the entire season starting either May or June with an end date of August 26, 2022.

If you are selected for an interview you will be contacted by the City of Bozeman Aquatics Managers for scheduling. NOTE: you will also be scheduled for a swim test at the time of the interview.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensure patron safety at the City of Bozeman’s aquatic facilities and provide swimming instruction for the summer.
Full-time, 40 hours/week, hours/days varied. May – August.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position;
Some experience is desired, but not required.

Offers for employment are conditional upon completion of professional reference checks and a background check, a swim test and a lifeguard course.
REQUIRED SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Satisfactory completion of a swim test
Successful completion of Lifeguard/First-Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
Satisfactory responses to the appropriate post conditional offer process
Swim Test Registration Dates:

May 23-27 5:30am-3:30pm
Location: Swim Center

Lifeguard candidates must attend at least one of the two scheduled 3-day class sessions shown below:

Class Dates:

June 2 Thursday 5:30pm-9pm
June 3 Friday 5:30pm-9pm
June 4, Saturday 8am-6pm

Or

June 9, Thursday 5:30pm-9pm
June 10, Friday 5:30pm-9pm
June 11, Saturday 8am-6pm
Location: Swim Center
Courses and training materials are provided by the employer.
