The Project Manager is responsible for the permit process for Residential Main Panel Changeouts, solar installations, and residential battery installations. by working closely with various jurisdictions, the Project Manager will be responsible for business license applications, regional business registration, permit applications, utility meter spots, utility disconnect/ reconnects and interpersonal communication.
Objective:
Complete projects on time, under budget, within scope, and efficiently while ensuring there is constant and effective communication with customers and the Source The Sun Team as well as our Partners Team.
Duties:

Achieve quarterly and yearly installation quotas for assigned area
Provide customers with design schematics, pre-construction evaluations, installation time-frames and system authorization status
Acquire permits from AHJ’s
Schedule crews on a regular basis and solve logistics and communication issues
Prepare material and equipment orders for each project.
Onsite kick-offs
Review system commissioning reports and confirm system performance for the first few weeks following utility authorization
Collect and process customer payments for system installations
Other duties as assigned
Assist other Sullivan employees as needed

Requirements
Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Residential Solar Project Management, analysis and installation of photovoltaic systems. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted
Strong solar, electrical and general construction background, and field experience preferred
Outstanding communication and organization skills
Expert fluency with Google Workforce and Microsoft Office
Ability to read, understand, and edit electrical and structural plans
Knowledgeable of the National Electric Code (NEC) and jurisdiction requirements
Extensive experience with permit acquisition
Expert fluency in PV code compliance
Skilled in field crew coordination
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Physical Demands:
The job may require the employee’s ability to do the following:

Lift 50 lbs. from ground and pull 50 lbs. of force
Perform ladder climbing, work on rooftops
Fully squat, stoop or kneel

Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

Prepare job packages per the project scope of work
Coordinate the permit process with various jurisdictions
Communicate with the client regarding construction schedule and permit dates
Upload files and maintain an organized database for projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of residential solar industry, 1 year of experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to read construction drawings
Strong communication skills – oral and written
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Reader and Google Earth
Attention to detail
Willing to work overtime as needed to meet project deadline
