Position : SPECIAL PROJECTS COORDINATOR
Job Description : This position will monitor the current emergency preparedness plans and budgets/redirections submitted by the State’s coalition and contracted HPP sub-recipients, and they will provide technical assistance as needed to assure the contracted sub-recipients are able to carry out the terms of grants, address regional surge capacity, and work with regional committees to assure coordination between facilities and other partners (county health departments, emergency management). This position will provide oversight of contracted sub-recipient mid and end-of-year reporting and quarterly expense updates. The contracted sub-recipients include AZHHA, AZCHER, SILC, AHCA, ADE, Coyote Crisis Collaborative, Poison Control, and Valleywise Health. Subrecipient activities will be monitored through reporting, one-on-one meetings, and attendance of program meetings/conferences. This position is responsible for developing and updating contract amendments scope of work for HPP sub-recipients. They will also assist with writing and compiling the narrative on the HPP work plan to meet the grant required submissions to ASPR.
Job Duties:

Selective Preference(s):
Associate’s degree with 3 years work experience in public health emergency preparedness or related field or 5 years of work-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).

Retirement:
To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will make a contribution to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit.
