Job Description : Misra and Ray Logistics, Inc. is a fully overlapped Independent Service Provider for FedEx Ground based out of the Livonia terminal. We do Home, Ground and Smart Post delivery and pickup of packages within Garden City (48135) and Westland (48185). We are accepting applications for full-time, part-time, and on-call Package Delivery Drivers.Weekends are required for this position. DO NOT APPLY if you are not available for weekends. Delivery driver experience is required.Each driver is typically assigned to a route which is less than 6 miles away from the terminal and covers an area of about 2 miles by 2 miles . Typically a driver ends up driving less than 50 miles making 150 stops a day. Our stops are very concentrated next to each other. Our service area is within 5 miles away from the terminal and typical follows a grid pattern – this makes us stand out. Dispatch is typically between 830 and 930 am once FedEx loads the trucks in the terminal. We have drivers completing 150 plus stops before 430 pm regularly and go home. Not all routes are the same. Average driving hours after dispatch is about 6 hours a day.This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh up to 150 lbs (hand cart provided). Drivers must also have a Chauffeurs License and at least one year of commercial driving experience. You must have excellent time management skills. We will train and pay 100 dollars a day. We provide you with uniform and 22ft step vans with FedEx Logo.Any eligible candidate MUST have all of the following qualifications:- Minimum of 1 year behind the wheel driving experience from a previous employer within the past 3 years which can be verbally verified [example Uber, Food Delivery, Appliance Delivery, Furniture Delivery, Construction Material delivery, Moving Company delivery etc].- Must be able to drive 22ft Step Van [We will Road Test you at our cost]- Ability to pass a DOT physical per state requirements- Able to deliver up to 150lbs +- packages [hand cart provided]- Must be 21 years of age or older- Must be authorized to work in US- Must have extremely clean driving record / criminal background history ( No Felony/ DUI’s )- Able to pass a drug screen at entry and a random drug test anytime- Highly Motivated Team Player with a very customer service oriented personality with safe driving skills.Benefits:This is a W2 Employee position.
