Reporting to the Director of Partner Marketing, the Partner Marketing Manager works closely with internal and external teams to ensure that the Blue Planet partner program exceeds the expectations of its eco-system of channel partnerships.
This is a global role that focuses on Blue Planet channel partners around the world comprising system integrators, distributors, managed service providers, and value-added resellers.
Candidates will have a strong enterprise networking sales & marketing background and a proven track record in marketing roles such as partner marketing or product marketing with a software company in the enterprise market.
Responsibilities
Lead the specialization of marketing collateral for specific partner domains and markets
E.g. Managed Services, VARs
Develop and deliver partner marketing programs that enable partners to acquire new customers, retain and grow existing customers and deliver growth in revenue from Blue Planet solutions
Work closely with assigned priority partners to get buy-in, create strategy, and lead execution on co-marketing plans
Lead stakeholder meetings; manage roles and responsibilities and program deadlines and budget
Orchestrate different resources within the organization (Campaign, Field, Events) to support partner GTM activities and create/maintain a long-term, scalable joint GTM model that drives partner and customer success
Drive cross-functional alignment with social media, content marketing, digital marketing, community, public relations, portfolio marketing and marketing operations to implement unified go-to-market approach
Create joint customer references with partners for specific use cases.
Develop, manage, and track quarterly partner marketing campaigns focused on driving awareness and lead-generation.
Attend and participate in regional sales meetings and QBRs
Manage internal communications and enablement to drive awareness of and maximize Blue Planet’s presence at the events and drives awareness of alliances activities that help drive business goals
General Activities
Support joint solution initiatives such as proof-of-concept projects by assisting with the development of customer facing presentations
Work with subject matter experts to define and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate demand for Blue Planet products
Develop KPIs and ensure metrics and reporting capabilities are available to regularly check program status
Manage creative agencies output by providing clear requirements and approval cycles of their work product
Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecommunications/networking industry
Prior experience in business-to-business marketing of software and/or professional services
Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation skills including the ability to convey complex concepts simply and concisely
Excellent writing skills and experience with story boarding or scripting for presentations and demonstrations
Proven experience working with cross-functional sales and marketing teams
Experience in a product marketing role beneficial
General understanding of software systems architectures and/or previous experience working with cloud providers e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
General understanding of network operations and technologies such as IP, Ethernet, NFV and mobile technologies
