A Day in the life of an Academic Assessor:
Our Academic Assessors enjoy professional autonomy, but they also benefit from the camaraderie of being considered part of the school community and the special education team. You may work at only one school or drive to a few different schools in an area. We partner with our educators and provide every resource needed to make you successful, including aligning you with a Lead for continued collaboration and career development.

What are we looking for?

Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential with CLAD authorization OR School Psychologist License/Credential.
Teaching/assessment experience at various grade levels and with students with special needs both in and outside of the general education setting.
Knowledge of the IDEA and CA Special Education laws.
Knowledge of the IEP and identification process.
Preferred

At least 2 years of experience coordinating and conducting FORMAL academic assessments for IEPs Woodcock-Johnson IV (WJ-IV) and/or Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement (KTEA-3).
