The Content Department is looking for an Associate Editor to join WEBTOON’s Los Angeles headquarters. The Content Department is responsible for Original Programming on US WEBTOON. The Associate Editor position, reporting directly to the Managing Editor, will be responsible for working with talents to deliver a variety of Original series on the platform.
What You’ll Do
Source, develop, and deliver engaging content that can grow the audience on WEBTOON
Actively review CANVAS series and incoming materials
Handle acquisition and development of assigned series
Set deadlines and ensure the overall quality and delivery of assigned series
Help strategize and implement marketing efforts on assigned series
Manage or co-manage creator and partner relationships, maintain series materials (treatments, art files, etc.), and anticipate potential road bumps
Provide constructive creative feedback and contribute to the development process
Participate in pitch and development meetings
Monitor, review, and report audience response of assigned series
Regularly read series on WEBTOON ORIGINALS and CANVAS
Contribute to offline/online events as needed
Who You Are
1+ years of editorial experience in digital comics, or similar content
Regularly reads series on WEBTOON ORIGINALS and CANVAS
Must be an effective communicator
Demonstrate a keen editorial eye for identifying talent
Strong interest and awareness of pop-culture and youth culture
Practical knowledge in storytelling
Practical knowledge in graphic software such as Photoshop and Clip Studio
