About the role
We are looking for an experienced Backend developer in platform pod to join our technology team. As a Backend developer, you’ll work closely with our Design, Product, Data Science and Analytics team to develop microservices which focus on the financial needs of millennials in India. If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you.
What You will do
Design and develop microservice that can work in a large-scale multi-tenant environment.
Explore design implications and work towards appropriate balance between functionality, performance, and maintainability.
Work with a cross-discipline team of Design, Product, Data Science and Analytics team.
Deploy and maintain the application in a secured AWS environment.
Take ownership from ideation phase to deployment and maintenance.

Qualifications
What you will need
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in server-side development
Strong programming skills in Python/Scala or Go/Golang, Big Data, Java, Node.JS, Javascript/TypeScript.
Hands-on experience in API development and frameworks such as Express, Loopback, Hapi
Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience in test-driven development. (writing unit test and API test)
Understanding of basic cloud computing concepts and experience in using any of the major cloud service providers (AWS EC2, S3, VPCs, Kinesis, Dynamo, SQS, SNS, SWF)
Ability to build and deploy the application in a containerized environment
Understanding of application logging and monitoring systems like Prometheus or Kibana
B.E/B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/M.S. from a reputed university with a good academic record
Curiosity to explore the cutting edge technologies and bake them in the products
Extensive experience with automation and configuration management using Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Vault, Nomad, Jenkins or similar
Strong knowledge with Web Services, API Gateways and application integration development and design
Strong background in Linux
Strong background in cloud operations instrumentation and monitoring of distributed architectures using AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios or similar
Strong background with source control management systems (GIT or Subversion), Build Systems (Maven, Gradle), Code Quality (Sonar), Artifact Repository Manager(Maven), Continuous Integration (Jenkins)
Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
Hands-on expertise in SDLC deployment and using tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus and Jenkins
Knowledge of agile software development practices and release management
Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape
