Job Description:
As a Data Acquisition – Financial Analyst you will apply principles of accounting in order to assist the field auditors in duties such as obtaining and processing the necessary data from the client and mapping it to the financial statements for audit engagements.
Responsibilities will also include coordinating with members of a cross functional team, maintaining due dates for various tasks, executing on established processes, and preparing other correspondence and/or back-end processing (i.e., follow-up correspondence and basic quality assurance).
Roles and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with engagement teams to map client data to their financial statements;Understand and complete work in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures;Ensure data compatibility and bridge the gap of data and business needs based on GAAPFacilitate consistent and timely communication with team members regarding tasks;Collaborate with team members on tasks;Identify, document and communicate to the field team errors, trends and/or unusual transactions;Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience / TrainingMinimum Bachelors of Commerce Degree is required.Chartered Accountant is required, and CPA eligible desired.A minimum of three (3) years of experience in US GAAP.General understanding of data tables and ETL techniquesAbility to multi-task, manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to adopt new tools and processes as they are developedWilling to learn and accept feedback.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Arts
