Job Description : Responsibilities
Venice Family Clinic is a leader in providing comprehensive, high-quality primary health care to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect. In November 2021, Venice Family Clinic merged with South Bay Family Health Care, uniting more than a century of experience helping patients regardless of their income, insurance or immigration status. The organization now has more than 500 staff who serve 45,000 people from the Santa Monica Mountains through the South Bay. We have 17 locations plus two mobile clinics and an expansive street medicine program for people experiencing homelessness. Read more about us at venicefamilyclinic.org.
Under the supervision of Sr. Security Guard Supervisor, provide security services for all Venice Family Clinic sites.
Qualifications
Oral communication skills sufficient to convey clear and concise information to the public and staff such as giving directions, crowd control, and explanation of policies and procedures – Required.
Ability to demonstrate experience in security procedures – Required.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and co-workers – Required.
Working knowledge of security systems such as locking mechanisms, alarms and cameras – Required.
Ability to write grammatically correct, concise and logical reports – Required.
Ability to effectively supervise and train individuals and groups when necessary – Required.
Ability to execute directions and effectively convey information to others – Required.
Ability to be assertive and use necessary physical force with the purpose of controlling situations and/or individuals – Required.
Ability to maintain equanimity in the face of resistance, indifference or hostility – Required.
Possession of current Guard Card issued by the State of California. California – Required.
Ability to pass a criminal background investigation – Required.
Possession of valid California Drivers License – Required.
Certificate in CPR and First Aid – Required.
Chemical Agent Certification – Required.
Ability to work occasional weekends, evening and provides coverage at other sites as needed – Required.
