Logistics Supervisor, Direct-Import (DI) Logistics is a very critical role for within the logistics organization. Hasbro sources majority of its toys from Asia; primarily China, India, Vietnam and Indonesia which are then sold to our customers under two main channels – affiliate/domestic sales channel (goods are sold to customer in the market of sale) and direct import (DI) sales channel where goods are sold to the customer at origin (countries where goods are manufactured) through FOB incoterms.
The direct import sales channel primarily utilizes FOB (and sometimes FCA) incoterms for sale of goods to our customers at origin. This role will oversee the India logistics operations for the DI sales channel. The role will a heavy interface with customer logistics teams and should have a very good understanding of logistics operations as it concerns the direct import channel. Internally, the role will work very closely with the planning team, CFS team, order management team and account sales team based in HK and US.

Key Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for efficient and uninterrupted delivery of our goods from India to our customers within DI Channel. This role is expected to work closely with our customers’ as well as our Hasbro customer logistics team in ensuring all requirements for DI channel goods transfer are effectively met in time and at cost. This role is expected to work with account sales teams in overcoming any challenges and risks to the India’s DI Sales targets.
This role will be responsible for developing integrated plans and KPIs to monitor performance and ensuring uninterrupted order supply to meet internal and external customer demands within Indian DI sales channel.
The position will work closely with our customers in ensuring efficient sales of goods to our customers. This will include ensuring timely availability of goods in partnership with the planning and sourcing team, working with customer freight forwarders in ensuring timely delivery of goods for revenue recognition, working with customer origin logistics team in ensuring Hasbro delivers against their expectation.
Ensure the full compliance with proper documentation handling and shipping instruction on shipment execution.
Monitor the shipment process and prepare relevant shipping documents according to different customers’ requirements and local regulations
Monitor the performance of vendors / forwarders / booking agents / shipping lines for shipment fulfilment.
Support the Logistics Manager for efficiency project implementation.
Submit shipping documents to banks (if necessary) and work with finance department counterpart to ensure the smooth payment receivable process.
Analyze, identify, and request support for technology integration that streamlines processes and improves data accuracy.
Institutes Logistics performance management program, including tracking against logistics metrics/KPIs.
Actively and effectively identifies and communicate strategic operational gaps to Vendors, Legal and senior management.
Years of Experience Required
At least 5 years of work experience in logistic industry with strong background in Ocean Freight Management
Experience within a Toys and Games company is highly preferred
Technical Skills Requirement
Degree in business or related field
Knowledge in import/export process and customs procedures in global sourcing plants
Strong account management and relationship building skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills allowing effective collaboration with customers, internal Hasbro teams and other 3rd parties
Proficiency with PC operations including use of SAP, Excel, Power BI & MS office suite
Excellent command of English skills
