Job Description : OverviewThe Director of Operations has overall leadership responsibility for floor operations and inventory control functions.
Essential Responsibilities

Cultivate a team environment to serve the organization’s overall mission by inspiring collaborative efforts among the Operations team and empowering individuals to achieve goals.
Supervise the Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager and Receiving Manager.
Coordinate activities with Inventory, Food Industry, Agency and Volunteer Services teams.
Develop an annual expense budget for warehouse and logistics staff; manage overtime and temporary worker levels.
Maintain highest level of food and personnel safety standards.
Manage special food donation and distribution needs resulting from emergency.
Garner team support for all safety and compliance needs presented by the Inventory Control team.
Allocate appropriate storage space and coordinate receipt of product in a safe, efficient and sanitary manner.
Exemplify TAFB Core Values of Lead, Care, Innovate and Respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 – 15 years of experience, with 5 – 8 years serving in a supervisory role; strong leadership presence.**

Team Development & Management

Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach. Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities and conduct annual performance appraisals.

Technical Proficiencies

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, warehouse management and inventory control software.
