Job Summary
This position plays a critical role in supporting Decor IQ’s operational requirements. This position requires a high level of accuracy and organization. The HR Specialist will be responsible for recruiting, management of the HR functions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, management of the payroll, benefits and any other HR vendors, schedule interviews for job candidates and conduct onboarding and new employee orientation. This position offers an opportunity for someone to show off their skills and who thrives in an environment of wearing multiple hats. This position will enable growth in key areas of the company and will require HR expertise and skill to create, implement, and enforce effective processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Enforce HR policies
Recruitment of candidates to include, developing job descriptions, posting jobs, scheduling interviews, issuing offer letters and onboarding
Create a recruitment plan and calendar according to business operations and growth
Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks
Ensure State and Federal regulatory compliance at all locations, to include proper employment law postings and training for employees
Oversee/conduct payroll for organization
Answer and resolve employee queries
Orientation of new hires (full-time and temporary) into the company; including explanation of company policies, benefits and completion of all required HR and payroll documents
Process employee resignations/terminations
Create employee engagement plans
Create and maintain HR records (physical and digital) ensuring all required documentation is received, filed and all employee information is accurate
Maintain and file all HR compliance documents and reports as necessary (ex: I-9, State New Hire, Unemployment, FMLA, FLSA, etc.)
Process worker’s compensation claims
Create employee communication and informational documents

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

Minimum 4 years of HR experience or ability to learn on the job
SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or related areas; relevant work experience may be substituted/considered in lieu of degree
High level of proficiency with QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork
Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
Language: English (Required), Bi-lingual, Spanish (Required)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
