Job Description : Exciting opportunity to join our growing veterinary practice!
Torrey Pines Animal Hospital is a busy, state-of-the-art, small animal practice in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego. Our services include boarding and bathing and we are looking for Kennel Attendants to join our Team.
We are looking for individuals who are energetic, positive, team-oriented, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Working experience with animals is preferred.
Kennel attendant duties include greeting clients, admitting pets to the boarding facility, feeding, handling, bathing, and cleaning up after boarding animals such as dogs, cats, and some exotic pets such as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. Other tasks include administration of medication if needed, special handling, answering phones, and some data entry. Other tasks will include housekeeping duties such as dusting and ongoing cleaning of the hospital, dry and wet mopping of the floors, laundry, washing dishes, and other duties as assigned.
Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance and be comfortable working in an environment where you could be exposed to chemicals, strong smells, and possible zoonotic diseases.
We are looking for someone to fill a full-time position (40 hours/4 days a week) which include weekend and holiday shifts.
